                             Travelin' On - SHEER MAG
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: 7sshare

Tuning: Standard

Here's how to play this totally kickass song.

The main verse part might sound a little complicated rhythmically - it is actually
in one measure of 15/4 after the intro pickup measure, then a measure of 8/4,
a measure of 6/4, another measure of 8/4, and a measure of 9/4. Or that's at
least one way to count it. The vamped riff at the end of the song is in 11/4.

Intro Verse
e|------------|---------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---0--2-3---|---------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---1--2-2---|---------------------4-2-2--4-2----------------4-2--2----------|

A|------------|---0-0--0--2-2-4-2---------------0--0-2-2-4-2------------------|
E|------------|-----------0-0-0-0--------------------0-0-0-0------------------|

e|-------------------------------------------------------8-7--7--8-7--8--7\---|
B|-------------------------------------------------------8-7--7--8-7--8--7\---|
G|----4-2---2-----------------4-2-2--4-2-----------------7-7--7--7-7--7--7\---|
D|----0-0-4-0--2--2-----------0-0-0--0-0--2--2-----------7-7--7--7-7--7--7\---|
A|-------------0--0--2-2-4-2--------------0--0--2-2-4-2--5-5--5--5-5--5--5\---|
E|-------------------0-0-0-0--------------------0-0-0-0-----------------------|

You can also alternate between an open D major and a Dsus4 chord to do that last bit,
but I think it sounds better with the barre chord like I have it, and plus you can
do that slide down little swoop on the last one.

Chorus (F#min) (E)
e|-------------------------------------2--0-----------------------------------|

                                                                        (E)

Then you do the entire thing again, intro-verse-chorus-bridge, plus doing the
verse one more time and ending it on a B minor chord to go into the solo:

oh baby, gotta get out the map
I'm somewhere down I can't find
I been watchin' the clock
anyplace but not the right time yeah
and under the sun
lace up my boots and go on
gotta strike the match and let it burn

when all the smoke was clearing out
oh yeah I was on my own
I ain't coming home to you.
I was born to roam the streets
Yeah
They say a man lives in chains but he is born free
he's born free
I was in the thick of it, boy, I was in the pines
I followed a crippled creek back to the source and I went inside
and now I'm inside

oh baby, gotta get out the map...

the days been growing stranger I
been holding up fists of rage and I need a change
But you been getting lazy this time
I got you dead to rights and I'm ready to fight

I was in the thick of it...

baby, I gotta...

And I'll be travelin' on
