Written by JC Rea (jcrp_21@hotmail.com)

Tuning: Standard

[Intro]

           Bb A
"Hit it!
                   Bb A
This ain't no disco
                                Bb A
It ain't no country club either

This is LA!"

[Verse 1]

E
"All I wanna do is have a little fun before I die,"
         C D7
Says the man next to me out of nowhere
E
 It's apropos of nothing
                                   C
He says his name is William but I'm sure,
                      D7
He's Bill or Billy or Mac or Buddy
          E
And he's plain ugly to me
                          C D7
And I wonder if he's ever had a day of fun in his whole life
E
We are drinking beer at noon on Tuesday
     C D7
In a bar that faces a giant car wash
E
The good people of the world are washing their cars
                      C
On their lunch break, hosing and scrubbing
   D7
As best they can in skirts in suits"

[Pre-chorus]

Bb A
"They drive their shiny Datsuns and Buicks
Bb A
Back to the phone company, the record store too
Bb A
But they're nothing like Billy and me, cause"

[Chorus]
                E
"All I wanna do is have some fun
         C D7
I got a feeling I'm not the only one
            E
All I wanna do is have some fun
         C D7
I got a feeling I'm not the only one
            E
All I wanna do is have some fun
          C7 B7 E
Until the sun comes up over Santa Monica Boulevard"

IT'S THE SAME FOR THE REST OF THE SONG

[Outro]

C7 B7 E

Looks good to me! The original song definitely sounds like an E major, C, D7 progression to me, which is what gives it its bluesy country charm.

It's also much easier to play using barrels.
