The first few chords are incorrect. It begins on G, but the bass note descend in a line cliche while keeping the upper structure of G intact. It's basically an open G with a changing bass note from G to F# to F, then to E7.
Bm and F sound sort of correct, only because one is an inversion of G major, and F major shares it's bass note with the flat 7 of G.
You can think about this descending line as:
G, G/F#, G/F.

Walk the low G down to the F bar chord, but don;t play the bar, just leave the B and E strings open before dropping to the E chord.
