SMITH & BURROWS – WHEN THE THAMES FROZE

C Em Dm C X 4 (last time: final C becomes the first C of the stanza)

C G Am G C
God damn this snow
            F G
Will I ever get where I wanna go
           C G Am G C
And so I skate across the Thames
          F G
Hand in hand with all my friends

C Em Dm C X 2

C G Am G C
And all the things that we planned
            F G
My son’s eyes in the outline of his hand
           C G Am G C
And even though I hate the cold
              F G
A constant reminder that I’m growing old

C F C F
Another year draws to its close, entire London slows
         Am G F
When I dream tonight, I’ll dream of you

            Dm G/C
When the Thames, .. Froze

C Em Dm C X 2

C G Am G C
God damn this government
            F G
Will they ever tell me where the money went
            C G Am G C
Protesters march out on the street
               F G
As young men sleep amongst the feet

C F C F
Another year draws to its close, entire London slows
         Am G F
When I dream tonight, I’ll dream of you

            Dm G/C
When the Thames, .. Froze

C F Dm
Tell everyone that there’s hope in your heart
C F Dm
Tell everyone or it will tear you apart
             G C F Dm
The end of Christmas day, when there is nothing left to say
      C F Dm
The years go by so fast, let’s hope the next beats the last

Ich glaube anstatt des E-Moll Akkords im Vor- und Zwischenspiel sollte es ein A-Moll Akkord sein.

I think instead of the Em in the pre- and interlude it should be the Am. But the rest sounds quite right I think. Good for playing this song in an easy way.

Trotzdem keine schlechte Version. Auch sehr gut für Anfänger geeignet
