I really think it's G#7sus4 resolving to G#. Also, the chorus is played one more time right before the outro.

"In the breeze" not "soon we'll freeze"

Randy California wrote this song in 1967. I was fortunate enough to hear this live with spirit in 1968. Definitely fits our times in 2025. Hippies were right on about a lot of things. Hey love the chords as well.
