Intro

G6 Cmaj9/G G6 Cmaj9/G

 G6 Cmaj9/G
   Always on the outside,
         Em Em7
   Always looking in.
 C Cmaj7 D D7
I was in this Drop-D metal band we called Requiem.
             C D
   And they say, relax.
          G
   But I can't be a man,
             Am
This far down on the map.

   Whoa, Oh no.

 G6 Cmaj9/G
I was sold for suspect drawings,
  Em Em7
   Underneath a makeshift awning.
    C
   Now I'm yours,
          Cmaj7
   Know I'm here,
                 D D7
Read it all front and back.
          C D
   But I can't relax,
              G Am
With my knees on the ground and a stick in my back.

I don't think it's a G6 either. I play a G major and add the c note on the second string for the Cmaj9/G
