Nah, it sounds better if you play it with no Em at all, and just play E major during the verse.

It's E major throughout and you gotta do E6 and E7 (i guess that's what they're called) to get closer to the original song. Just put your pinky on the 2nd (E6) and on the 3rd (E7) fret on the B string. Works fine for me. And: E D E D Born to be wild, E D E D Born to be wild, The 2nd E and D doesn't sound right to me. E - D - A - D sounds better to me.

Sounds pretty correct to me. Not sure what the other dudes from 8 years ago are complaining about. And I'm pretty sure that the chorus is E and not Em. 5*
