SRV was a man who truely transcended his own
instrument. I hope I don't piss off the guitar gods by
posting this, as I am sure it will be riddled with mistakes.
 
Stevie had a big Alcohol addiction and a friend of his wrote
this song with him in mind. When SRV played this song, clean
and sober, you could feel the power and soul he put into it,
and this above all else, is what makes want to become a
great guitarist. So one day I may have the effect on some
one with my music, that Stevie has had on me.

It would be hard to sing like Stevie unless your from Texas or live somewhere in the south, somehow i don't believe a yank's accent is gonna cut it.

Really good tab, overall. And it doesn't matter where you're from, and SRV would say that himself. As long as you feel and play the music from your soul, then you will transcend yourself above such menial issues like your regional home. Music is for the world, not a chosen few.

Wow, this is a great tab, man. I'm not anywhere near the guitarist Stevie was, but I try, and it's people like you who make it a ;little easier. On another note, I'm from Austin, so the Vaughns, Antones and all the others are near and dear to me and the other pickers like myself, and I have to say: It doesn't matter where you're from, as long as you sing it from the heart. Good work, brother, thanks for the awesome tab.
