			     "Too High" - Stevie Wonder
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tabbed By : Superkisseler

Tuning: Standard

Stevie Wonder has had a million wonderful bass lines, because he is a musical genius and
played with so many bass players. I can't believe that there are so few tabs up, so I'm
to try and tab a few.\

Key:

X = Mute

Main Riff:

G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|------------55----78-----------------------------------------------------|
A|-------77----------------------------------------------------------------|
E|--5----------------------------------------------------------------------|

"Do,do,do,do,do,do...":

G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|-0--X--5----0--X--3----0-0----0-0----0-0---------------------------------|

"I'm Too High...":

G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|--5-0-----3-0------------------------------------------------------------|

"She's a...":
Then you bring it down a step:
G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------55----7--------------------------33---5---------------------|
A|-----77--------------------------------55--------------------------------|
E|--5--------------------------------3-------------------------------------|

After that you should get the general notion for the riff.

I'm wondering (see what I did there?) if you've heard some different version of this song or something, because, no offence, this is not accurate at all. For example, the main riff is more like this:

G|--------------(7)99---|
D|--------(5)77---------|
A|-----77---------------|
E|-5--------------------|

At least that's how I hear it.

Close, not quite. The song has what us tabbers hate OPEN STRINGS!!! Think of it as an exercise for the fretting hand in string control and muting. If you don't mute those strings, they'll ring throughout the riff and it will not be pretty. There's also a subtle touch of hammer-on, but that doesn't translate well in tabs. The good news is, you can keep your thumb at home in 7th position.

Using the format that Lindgren penned, it goes something like this. . .

G|------------------(7)-99---|
D|--------------77-----------|
A|-0--------(0)--------------|
E|----(0)-00-----------------|
