This is a great song written by Brandon Jenkins and made famous by Stoney LaRue.

[Intro]

G Em C D
(same chord Progression All throughout the song)

[Verse 1]

G Em
I remember when I met you
C D
Big city boy, Small town blue
G Em C D
This town seemed small to me

G Em
I was used to the boulevard
C D
When I saw you, I fell so hard
G Em C
   Now I never wanna leave
D
Girl I'm here forever

[Chorus]

    G Em
We got moonlight All night
C D G
Lord, I pray on the next star I see tonight
          Em C D
We never lose this thing we found
G Em C D G
With you by my side, I can do without the city lights
          Em C
I fly so high when you're around
         D G
That my feet don't touch the ground

[Solo]

G Em C D

[Verse 2]
(same as verse 1)

The things I've done and the place I've been
They don't compare to the love I'm in
It beats all I've ever seen
If you'd told me a few years back
that I'd be still living here
At this place I'm at
I'd say you're living in a dream, Girl I'm here forever

[Chorus] (x2)
(same as the first one)

We got moonlight, All night
Lord, I pray on the next star I see tonight
We never lose this thing we found
With you By my side
I can do without the city lights
I fly so high when you're around
That my feet dont touch the ground

Lord, My feet dont touch the ground repeat 2 x's

Great post for the most part. Only missing the Cm at the end of the first and third chorus' on "feet". They change to that chord at the end of the intro as well. Also the solo is just C and D. Beautiful song from Stoney no doubt!

“Sara Love”

“Feet Don’t Touch the Ground” has been the reverie for my girlfriend Sara & I. She introduced me to Mr. Larue’s music when we met (just about 2 years ago now) and now we’re both big fans of his.

She was the small-town blue, and I the big city boy (living in Austin, TX.). Our story & how we met was a dime a dozen. Both recently divorced, new to the dating scene, and unsure of what was to come. When she walked in and we met for the first time, stars flew. 3 months in, I found myself packing up the guitars, fiddle, spectacles, testicles, wallet & watch-moving south to the small town of Stockdale, TX (which is where she was). The moonlight, good company of newly found friends, washers, cold beer, and the simple country life is where we’ll be... She’s my muse.

I never wanna leave! I can do without the city lights; as I fly so high when you're around. May our feet never touch the ground again, this night and the many nights to come.

Isaac P. =)
