G
When I was a child
                 Em
I could see the wind in the trees
                  Bm
And I heard a song in the breeze
        C D G
It was there, singing out my name

G
But I am not a girl
                  Em
I have known the taste of defeat
                 Bm
And I've finally grown to believe
          C D G
It will all come around again

              C G D
And though I may not know the answers
     Em C G (D)
I can finally say I'm free
                 C G
And if the questions led me here
           C D G
Then I am who I was born to be

       G
And so here am I
               Em
Open arms and ready to stand
               Bm
I've got the world in my hands
       C D G
And it feels like my turn to fly

       C G D
Though I may not know the answers
      Em C G (D)
I can finally say I'm free
                C G
And if the questions led me here
          C D G
Then I am who I was born to be

        G
When I was a child
                          Em
There were flowers that bloomed in the night
             Bm
Unafraid to take in the light
 C D G
Unashamed to have braved the dark

         C G D
Though I may not know the answers
      Em C G
I can finally say I am free
               C G
And if the questions led me here
         C D G
Then I am who I was born to be
        C D G
I am who I was born to be

Good chart. Few corrections: "I could see [Bm/F#]the wind" "And though I [D/C]may [C]not" "I can finally say I'm [Em]free" "And if the [D/C]ques-[C]tions that led me [G/B]here"

This just might be my all time favorite song. There is hardly an easier song for a newbie to play. I made it even easier by dropping the parenthesed D in the chorus. As mentioned, the key change to A is more true to the way Ms Boyle sings the song but A is a stretch for my voice. Thank you.

And a key change halfway through to A-major.
