 Intro: F C G F C G

 F (C) G
I bet this time of night you're still up
 F (C) G
I bet you're tired from a long hard week
 F (C) G
I bet you're sitting in your chair by the window
          Am G
 Looking out at the city
     F (C) G
And I bet sometimes you wonder about me

F C G
And I just want to tell you
          F Am G
It takes everything in me not to call you
F C G
And I wish I could run to you
        Am G
And I hope you know that
 F C
 Everytime I don't
   G
 I almost do
   F C G F C G
 I almost do

 F (C) G
I bet you think I either moved on or hate you
        F (C) G
Cause each time you reach out there's no reply
 F (C) G
I bet it never ever occurred to you
      C G F
That I can't say hello to you
              (C) G
 And risk another goodbye

F C G
And I just want to tell you
          F Am G
It takes everything in me not to call you
F C G
And I wish I could run to you
        Am G
And I hope you know that
 F C
 Everytime I don't
   G
 I almost do
           F C G F C G
 I almost do

 Am
We made quite a mess babe
        F Am
It's probably better off this way

 And I confess babe
  F C
In my dreams you're touching my face
            G F G F
And asking me if I want to try again with you
G
 And I almost do

F C G
And I just want to tell you
          F Am G
It takes everything in me not to call you
F C G
And I wish I could run to you
        Am G
And I hope you know that
 F C
 Everytime I don't
   G
 I almost do
           F C G F C G
 I almost do

 F (C) G
I bet this time of night you're still up
 F (C) G
I bet you're tired from a long hard week
 F (C) G
I bet you're sitting in your chair by the window
          Am G
 Looking out at the city
     F (C) G
And I hope sometimes you wonder about me

Much more accurate. Those capo 2 sound nothing like the album version.

I agree. Capo on 4 is best. I think she recorded it that way because I saw a photo of her recording a guitar track and it was capo 4 and it makes the most sense that she would be recording this one. 5*

Capo 4 is a whole lot better. Unless you want to sing in in a whole different tune then do capo 2, but capo four is alot more accurate.
