Capo 2 for this version - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-d0Xfyt7so
Capo 1 for the album version.

It's a pretty simple song as long as you listen for the rhythm.

There is on small riff between every transition from G to Em. Simply walk down
3-2-0 on the E string.

[Open on the Chorus]

G Em C G
I would be sad because you left me all alone.
G Em C G
I would be sad because the lies that you had told.
G Em C D
I would be sad because I got left by a girl that I adore.
G Em C G
I would be sad because the love I had before.

[Verse 1]

G Em C
I meant what I said when I said I would settle down with you although I know
                         D
it's not something that you were asking me to do.
G Em C
And I know we are young but we won't always be, so marry me; let's not be
                       D
that predictable young couple changing, moving on.
G Em
But I can tell by watching you that theres no chance of pushing through.
    C D
The odds are so against us; you know most young love it ends like this.

[Chorus]

G Em C G
I would be sad because you left me all alone.
G Em C G
I would be sad because the lies that you had told.
G Em C D
I would be sad because I got left by a girl that I adore.
G Em C G
I would be sad for all the love I had before.

[Verse 2]

G Bm C D
I meant what I said when I said I would rearrange my plans and
            G
change for you.
G Em
You know me; I've always been the kind with easy confidence.
C D G
Confident enough to honestly beleive that nothing out there stopping me
                Em
especially not someone who's not loving me.
C D
Now listen here I told you I could live on with out loving you.
C D
I was bluffing then, but it seems that just might have been the truth.
G Em
Well my dad told me, "One day son, this girl will think of what she's done
    C D
and hurting you will be the first of many more regrets to come."

G Em
And he said, "If she doesn't call, then it's her fault and it's her loss."
   C D
I say, "It's not that simple see, but then again it just may be."

[Chorus/Ending]

G Em C G
I would be sad because you left me all alone.
G Em C G
I would be sad for all the lies that you had told me.
G Em C D
I would be sad because I got left by a girl that I adore.
G Em C G
I would be sad for all the love I had before.
G Em C G
I would be sad for all the love I had before.

Hello! This is Alex, and I see some things wrong with you tab that I ought to point out the you. The chord changes are fine, but the capo is on the first fret if you listen to the recording off Emotionalism. Also, the walkdown is B, A, G, E, not G Gb E. That's it, please make those corrections so I can bookmark this tab!
