I’ve played this way since I’m a kid, and it sounds right. The crazy thing with the Beatles is that their vocals are so good and in constant movement, you have to watch out for some of the sounds being vocal inspired as well as instrument so I think this basic chord pattern is what’s underneath everything and correct.
