Something - The Beatles (George Harrison)
Tabbed by: Rhys Gabriel
Tuning: Standard (EADGBe)
Alright, the other versions don't seem to be quite the way it was meant to be played (half step or
full step up). So hope this helps, especially for those who love the Anthology acoustic version
much better than the Abbey Road version. The big difference is that Abbey Road is played just like
this, but Anthology plays it in the key of A, so if you choose to play it like that, you will
have to use the transposer and set it to -3 (Three half steps down.) Otherwise, that's all. Hope
y'all like my first tab! (Thank you to carriep63 for the edits (And for the second time as well,
sounds much better.)) Now this is the Anthology version, so not everything will sound exactly like
the recordings on Abbey Road. For me personally, I like playing an Em at the second line of the
verse instead of a C, but the C sounds much more correct, and I personally do C# at the end of
the verse, but Eb sounds much better when the B string is brought out. Hope you enjoy!

Hey, nice tab - I'm the one that approved it this earlier today. You should know that if you are really wanting to put up the Anthology version that this is in the wrong key as that version starts out in A, not C. People who want to play along with the acoustic version of this will have to transpose your tab down -3.
Here are some suggestions I have for your tab:
- Your Ab+ is actually an AmMaj7 X02110.
- Your Em at the end of the second line should be an Am for the walkdown.
- Your C# at the end of the verse should be a D# x68886 (xxx343 works too.)
- In the bridge, your C/G is actually a C#m (or an Amaj7.)
- In the bridge, your F is an F#m.

Thanks for putting up my suggestions, that's awesome! I do notice you put a D#m in the bridge instead of a C#m though, was that intentional? Also, I think I may have been wrong about the F to Am in the first verse. It's an F to C.
I hope you don't mind three more suggestions! Your tab just inspired me to learn this song so I've been playing it all day.
1. Personal preference, playing a D7 instead of a D on "you know I believe and how." It's just easier to switch from the Am7.
2. A little run in the third line of the verse:
D G Am7 G/B (x20033)
Something in the way she woos me
3. In the bridge, there is an A after the F#m that's missing:
A C#m F#m A
You're asking me, will my love grow?
D G A
I don't know, I don't know

The D# should probably be a Bb I think.
