If Beyoncé is the original artist, why is this under The Chicks?

izzyjanemusic, You've done a good job on this chart, but I'd like to suggest a few minor changes. It looks like it's a lot, but it really really isn't. Just some small tweaks that I hope will sound right to you. What you've labeled as pre-choruses are actually verses. There are no pre-choruses (which would have a unique chord structure). There's a 4-chord pattern that repeats twice in each verse. Instead of that pattern ending on an Am, it ends on an F. So the verse pattern goes Am - C - G - F - Am - C - G - F. At the end of verse 2 (labeled pre-chorus) the lyric should be "That's when Daddy looked at me." The lyric in the chorus which you have as "He held me in his arms and he taught me to be strong," is actually "He held me in his arms and he told me to be strong," (although I like "taught" better!) And in a throwback to the verse structure, that stanza ends on an F. The rest of the chorus is as you've charted it, except the lyric is "trouble comes to town," not "trouble comes in town." The second pre-chorus, which is actually verse 4 is half as long as the previous verses. The first stanza in the second chorus ("With his gun, with his head held high, he told me not to cry, oh, my daddy said shoot, oh, my daddy said shoot.") echoes the verse structure, ending on an F this time around, even though it ended on an Am earlier. You can hear it in the bass line. In what you've labeled as the outro, the second stanza ("My daddy warned me about men like you. He said, "Baby girl, he's playing you, he's playing you") has the same chord structure as you've charted for the first stanza -- Am - C - G - Am. And for the last two stanzas, the first one "'Cause when trouble comes in town and men like me come around, oh, my daddy said shoot, oh, my daddy said shoot) ends on an F chord (but does indeed say "comes in town.") The second stanza is as you've charted it. The "good job" line at the end is in imitation of the child on Beyoncé's recording saying "Good job, B." I'm not sure, but I think it's Emily or Martie saying, "Good job, Maines" to Natalie Maines. Or she could be saying, "Good job, B." as an homage to the original. Thanks for charting this song out!
