Chord variations: The chords are slight variations that leave out a note or
two from the standard open chord versions that we are all used to, they are
actually easier to play!

Chords used:

TONE TIPS:
---------
- The Intro and Verses of this song are strummed on an electric guitar with
a clean tone; add a little bit of CHORUS effect if you have one, or even a
light FLANGER effect...

- During the Chorus and Solo kick on the distortion/overdrive/fuzz pedal for
a volume boost and some \m/ ROCK power \m/

   E Minor C Major G Major G/F# (repeat)

While the distorted guitar is doing the heavy chords, this second
guitar is playing a CLEAN rhythm figure where the underlying chords
are accented by some clean chord triads played on the higher strings
giving a nice balance of low and high frequencies.

[Verse 1]
Another head hangs lowly,
Child is slowly taken.
And the violence caused such silence.
Who are we mistaken?

But you see, it's not me, it's not my family.
In your head, in your head they are fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are crying...

Hey, hey, hey, hey, oh, dou, dou, dou, dou, dou...

[Verse 2]
Another mother's breakin'
Heart is taking over
When the violence causes silence,
We must be mistaken.

It's the same old theme since nineteen-sixteen.
In your head, in your head they're still fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are dying...

At the (5:00) mark just before the very end of the song there is a feedback swell

D|------------------------------------------------------||             HERE

E|------------------------------------------------------||

That's it! If you prefer to play your own lead guitar over this rhythm use the
E natural minor scale, the E pentatonic minor scale, or the E blues scale to come
up with your own leads!

If you aren't familiar with some of these scales check out some of the lessons
I'll be posting regarding scales and other topics.
