[Intro]
G

[Verse]
G C
When the summer days live to bore you,
D G
And the river lies long before you,
G C
And the one that you love ignores you,
D7 G
  I'll be your girl.

G C
Like a senator works a full room,
D G
Like a lover undone by full moon,
G C
Like a lily alive in full bloom,
D7 G
  I'll be your girl.

[Bridge]
Em C
  And when the tempests rage,
                   G G
And all the oceans roar, at your door;
Em C
  I could be your man,
                     D D7
But I'd be that much more, and more.

[Verse]
G C
So when everything soft abrades you,
D G
When fortune has long betrayed you,
G C
And you're longing for an arm to stay you,
D7 G
  I'll be your girl.

[Solo]
G C D G G C D G

[Bridge]
Em C
  And when the tempests rage,
                   G G
And all the oceans roar, at your door;
Em C
  I could be your man,
                     D D7
But I'd be that much more, and more.

 [Verse]
G C
So if you're ever feeling less your time due,
D G
Like someone bereft and lied to,
G C
And you never need a guy to guide you,
D7 G
  I'll be your girl.
D7 G
  I'll be your girl.
D7 G
  I'll be your girl.

Well that was quick. Seems pretty accurate, however I don't hear the D7 on the recording, but it sounds good like that regardless.

you can do a bassline walkdown from G to Em in the bridge: from the low E string go 3rd fret - 2nd fret - open string on the Em chord, it adds a lil spice
