The Lake Poets - Shipyards
Intro to Sunderland 'Til I Die

Chords
Correct me if any of the names are wrong
    G G/F# Cadd9 Am Dadd9(add4)
e|--3--------3--------3--------0--------3-----------|
B|--3--------3--------3--------0--------3-----------|
G|--0--------0--------0--------1--------0-----------|
D|--0--------0--------2--------2--------4-----------|
A|--2--------0--------3--------2--------5-----------|
E|--3--------2--------X--------x--------X-----------|

He plays a mixture between picking and strumming but he hammers the A-string 2h0 on the G chord and the
D-string on the Cadd9, Am & Dadd9(add4)chords, also just before the tranisition from Am to Dadd9(add4) he
hammers the e 0h3 on the Am chord (I believe anyway, sounds alright to me)

[Verse 1]
      G G/F# Cadd9
On a river where you used to build the boats
      G G/F# Cadd9
By the harbour wall the place you loved the most
      G G/F# Cadd9
I can see you there alone but all you know
         Am Dadd9(add4)
I'll be there... soon
        G G/F# Cadd9
All your life you worked your fingers to the bone
        G G/F# Cadd9
You worked hard for every little thing you owned
        G G/F# Cadd9
But you gave away for years as if you'd known
         Am Dadd9(add4)
They were call...ing out
 Am Dadd9(add4)
Calling out
 Am Dadd9(add4)
Calling out

[Chorus]
                  G
But if you could see me now
              G/F# Cadd9
But if you could see me now
    G G/F# Cadd9
I hope that I'm making you proud
    G G/F# Cadd9
I hope that I'm making you proud
  G G/F# Am
I hope that I'm making you proud
 Dadd9(add4)
Proud

[Verse 2]
         G G/F# Cadd9
Like a ship you built you're long gone from the coast
          G G/F# Cadd9
Where you are and where we go we'll never know
       G G/F# Cadd9
On a ship you built that's where I'll see you most
          Am Dadd9(add4)
With your smile and eyes
          Am Dadd9(add4)
With your smile and eyes
         Am Dadd9(add4)
With your smile and eyes

[Chorus]
                  G
But if you could see me now
                 G/F# Cadd9
But if you could see me now
   G G/F# Cadd9
I hope that I'm making you proud
   G G/F# Cadd9
I hope that I'm making you proud
   G G/F# Cadd9
I hope that I'm making you proud
Dadd9(add4)

Just one small, but really important correction: The capo should be on the 4th fret if you go after the studio version. In the intro to Sunderland til' I die they have it on the 3rd fret as stated.

Try playing the Am as an Am7 (x02013) and then a similar shape up two frets with a D bass (x54035). The flourishes as noted remain. See: https://youtu.be/zq0J0ig6GHs

I found the Dadd9(add4) sits nicer in just F#maj
