Little Honda:Beach Boys.
Album - All Summer Long. The Hondells
Hit #9 with it as a single in '64.

#1.
C
I'm gonna wake you up early

Cause I'm gonna take a ride with you.
            F
We're going down to the Honda shop
                               C
I'll tell you what we're gonna do.
         G
Put on a ragged sweatshirt
              F C G
I'll take you anywhere you want me to.

CHORUS:
      C F C F
First gear, it's all right..Second gear, lean right.
      C F G G7
Third gear, hang on tight..faster, it's all right.

#2.
           C
It's not a big motorcycle, just a groovy little motorbike.
          F C
It's more fun that a barrel of monkeys, that two wheeled bike.
              G F C G7
We'll ride on out of the town, to any place I know you like.

CHORUS:

#3.
              C
It climbs the hills like a Matchless cause my Honda's

built really light.
          F C
When I go into the turns you'd better hang on tight.
         G
I better turn on the lights,
          F C G7
so we can ride on into the night.

CHORUS:(x2)

A sixties smash from Kraziekhat.

Lyrics:

"When I go into the turns you'd better hang on tight."

should be

"When I go into the turns, lean with me and hang on tight."

This part is pretty inaudible in the album version but in all live versions I've heard it's pretty clear that this is the correct line.

The version on the album is half a step up. I also dont play the F# at the end of the verses, i just stay on the G#. The verse is just a 12 bar blues btw
