CAPO 2nd fret

A A/G#
Your day breaks, your mind aches
F#m F#m/E D G
you find that all her words of kindness linger on
              A
when she no longer needs you.
A A/G#
She wakes up, she makes up,
F#m F#m/E D G
she takes her time and doesn't feel she has to hurry,
        A
she no longer needs you.

Chorus
             Bm F#7
And in her eyes you see nothing,
Bm F#7 Bm
no sign of love behind the tears
           F#7 Bm
cried for no one. A love that
                F#7 Bm Esus4 E
should have lasted years

A A/G#
Your day breaks, your mind aches,
F#m F#m/E D G
there will be times when all the things she said will fill
               A
your head you won't forget her

(repeat verse notes with the trumpets sound)

(Chorus)

A A/G# F#m F#m/E
You want her, you need her, and yet you don't
             D G
believe her when she says her love is dead, you
A
think she needs you

(Chorus)

A A/G# F#m F#m/E
You stay home, she goes out, and says that long
         D G
ago she knew someone but now he's gone, she
A
doesn't need him
A A/G#
Your day breaks, your mind aches,
F#m F#m/E D G
there will be times when all the things she said will fill
               A
your head you won't forget her

(Chorus)
End on E

Transpose up 3 half measures to C, and change the A# in the verse to Fm and and it's correct. It's also much easier to play it that way, and it flows much better.
Tune guitar down 1 half stop to play along with the recording. I'm sure that's how the Beatles played it.
