E C#m
Hello cowgirl in the sand
E C#m
Is this place at your command?
E B C#m B
Can I stay here for a while,
E B C#m B
Can I see your sweet sweet smile?

A E C#m A
Old enough now to change your name
     A E C#m A
When so many love you is it the same?
         A E C#m A
It s the woman in you that makes you want to play this game.

E C#m
Hello Ruby in the dust,
E C#m
Has your band begun to rust?
E B C#m B
After all the sin we ve had,
E B C#m B
I was hoping that we d turn back

A E C#m A
Old enough now to change your name
     A E C#m A
When so many love you is it the same?
         A E C#m A
It s the woman in you that makes you want to play this game.

E C#m 2x

E C#m
Hello woman of my dreams,
E C#m
This is not the way it seems
E B C#m B
Purple words on a grey background,
E B C#m B
To be a woman and to be turned down

A E C#m A
Old enough now to change your name
     A E C#m A
When so many love you is it the same?
         A E C#m A

I prefer the sound of Am to F on the verse and then Dm7 (or Dm7/8 barre on fifth fret) on "old e-", Em7/B (barred on 7th fret) on "-nough now", C on "to change your" and then F on "name" and so on.

Okay, but then it wouldn't be the song recorded by the Byrds.
