Strumming
There is no strumming pattern for this song yet. and get +5 IQ
I have always liked this song, but there are no chords posted anywhere so i decided to
post them. (Note:This was played by ear so somethings might not be right but it all
sounded right to me.)
------------------
*=ONLY STRUM ONCE

D
Oh, I hear the quiet now,
F D
Of paper airplanes falling down.
D
Oh, the branches of every tree
F D
Bend like a cathedral over me

CHORUS:
F
Down where the river bends
           C
Everyone’s waiting
                   F G
But that’s not the reason I’m making the tracks in the snow.
         D* C* G*
There’s a box in my hands as I go
D* C* G* D
Wrapped up in scarlet and gold for you.

VERSE 2:
D
Oh, there’s a choir upon the wind
F D
Singing all familiar hymns.
D
My ears, they’re playing tricks on me
F D
I can almost hear your harmony

CHORUS:
F
Down where the river bends
                    C
That’s where you’re waiting
                   F G
But that’s not the reason I’m making these tracks in the snow.
          D* C* G*
There’s a box in my hands as I go
D* C* G* C
Wrapped up in scarlet and gold for you.

(I couldn’t figure out the instrumental part so I just played the chords of the chorus again)

F C F G
CHORUS:
F
Down where the river bends
         C*
Nobody’s waiting
                    F G
But there’s still a reason I’m making these tracks in the snow
D* C* G*
Down at the end of the road
D* C* G*
Ill clear a place in the snow
D* C* G* D
And leave this box wrapped in scarlet and gold for you.

------------
I hope that was somewhat right. Enjoy!

These chords have absolutely nothing to do with the song. I don't even know how anyone would think that this is acceptable.

I know this was posted a while ago, but there's no need to be so rude. I played it, and it sounded fine. It's not like they had the chords from The Civil Wars themselves sitting in front of them. no, it's not perfect, but it's better than nothing. If you don't think it's acceptable, then you go and make your own! These chords may not be in the right key, but they're just fine. I like them, and I am using them in my cover.
But even if they weren't, there no reason to be so rude...
