The Rain, The Park & Other Things chords
The Cowsills 1967 (Artie Kornfield and Steve Duboff)

Capo III

Bm

Bm
I saw her sitting in the rain
C#m
Raindrops falling on her
    D
She didn't seem to care
                            A
She sat there and smiled at me

       Bm E
Then I knew (I knew... I knew... I knew... I knew)
                  A
She could make me happy (happy... happy)

(She could make me very happy)
B7
Flowers in her hair (in her hair)
E
Flowers everywhere (everywhere)

 Bm C#m
(I love the flower girl)
     D E
Oh I don't know just why; she simply caught my eye
 Bm C#m
(I love the flower girl)
              D E
She seemed so sweet and kind; she crept into my mind
 C#m D E
(To my mind... to my mind)

  Bm
I knew I had to say hello (hello... hello)
           C#m
She smiled up at me
    D A
And she took my hand and we walked through the park alone

       Bm E
Then I knew (I knew... I knew... I knew... I knew)
                  A
She could make me happy (happy... happy)

(She could make me very happy)
B7
Flowers in her hair (in her hair)
E
Flowers everywhere (everywhere)

 Bm C#m
(I love the flower girl)
     D E
Oh I don't know just why; she simply caught my eye
 Bm C#m
(I love the flower girl)
              D E
She seemed so sweet and kind; she crept into my mind
 C#m D E
(To my mind... to my mind)

Bm
Suddenly, the sun broke through

(See the sun)
          C#m
I turned around she was gone

(Where did she go)
    D A
And all I had left was one little flower in my hand

      Bm E
But I knew (I knew... I knew... I knew... I knew)
                  A
She could make me happy (happy... happy)

(She could make me very happy)
B7
Flowers in her hair (in her hair)
E
Flowers everywhere (everywhere)

Bm C#m
(I love the flower girl)
        D E
Was she reality or just a dream to me?
Bm C#m
(I love the flower girl)
                D E
Her love showed me the way to find a sunny day
 C#m D E
(Sunny day... sunny day... sunny day)

Bm C#m
(I love the flower girl)
        D E
Was she reality or just a dream to me? . . .

I have a couple of corrections that I think are a little more correct:

D (Not Bm)
She didn't seem to care?

B7 (Not Bm)
Flowers in her hair (In her hair)

There is also a Vocal Answer Counterpoint after:

She smiled up at me (Hello, how do you do)

And I think these are the correct lyrics here:
D A
And all I had left was one little flower from her hair (Not "in my hand")

Thank you...yes B and not Bm is correct...and I also like your suggestion about B7 replacing Bm. The biggest change I've made is...the capo should be on III and not II. The "flower from her hair" is, however, not correct..it should be "in my hand" as written. I've made the changes and resubmitted to UG for their approval. Again, I want to thank you for your great tips and suggestions...
