WHAT AM I GONNA DO - The Dovers
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: Gabriel Encinas

Here's this nugget from the Dovers, a minor hit from back in 1965. For starters
I'd like to notice that this song should be played on a 12-string guitar.
This song is played with a Capo on the First fret on some versions.

e|-----------------|
B|-----------------|
G|-----------------|
D|------4--2-----2-|
A|0--4--------4----|
E|-----------------| x2
then keyboards and accompaniement join in..

  A D
e|-----------------|-----------------|
B|-----------------|-----------------|
G|-----------------|-----------------|
D|------4--2-----2-|------4--2-----2-|
A|0--4--------4----|0--4--------4----|
E|-----------------|-----------------| x2
this riff throughout the verses and whenever the chord progression is A and D

Bm E7
Baby, what am I going to do
Bm E7
Baby, what am I going to do
A D
With you,
A D
with you

A D
Oh now I heard you say,
                          A D
about a girl who took my love away
                 A
Now (that?) she left me all alone
D A D
I've no one to call my own

Bm E7
Baby, what am I going to do
Bm E7
Baby, what am I going to do
A D
With you,
A D
with you

A D
(We?) had everything
              A D
there for my love to be
    A D
But all she ever wanted
           A D
was to be set free

Bm E7
Baby, what am I going to do
Bm E7
Baby, what am I going to do
A D
With you,
A D
with you

Bm E7
Well just what do I have to do
Bm E7
To get your sweet lovin’ from you
Bm E7
Do I have to die once or twice
Bm E7
To keep you for the rest,
                A D
the rest of my life,
           A D
all of my life

e|-----------------|
B|-----------------|
G|-----------------|
D|------4--2-----2-|
A|0--4--------4----|
E|-----------------| x2

  A D
e|-----------------|-----------------|
B|-----------------|-----------------|
G|-----------------|-----------------|
D|------4--2-----2-|------4--2-----2-|
A|0--4--------4----|0--4--------4----|
E|-----------------|-----------------|

A D
If you were seventeen
                    A D
I’d still feel the same way
             A D
Well there’s nothing in this world
                    A D
that will make me change my way

Bm E7
Baby, what am I going to do
Bm E7
Baby, what am I going to do
A D
With you,
A D
with you

And that's it basically.. a cool and simple song :)

Great tab, play all chords as barre chords (E7 as x79797) for it to sound correct.

Wtf was I talking about, E7 is played xx2434 similar to the Bm position and makes more sense here!
