i think that last note they pound is A not G. it's like a build up pretty much the only other section of the song. sounds like maybe they slide up from the G at the end of the main riff.

i think it's actually B, when i listened again. it's on the "but it would only happen all over again line.

I could see why you might think it's a B because that's the note that throws you into the pre chorus (which I just added, it's been years since I've been on here); but it's too high, that end note is much lower and while I still haven't been able to figure it out, G is the closet sounding note to the recording. Thanks for your comment though, I appreciate it. ;)
