Pretty simple, acoustic version so the chords are played open. Standard Tuning.
Not 100% correct but pretty close. The only thing that's wrong is that the D in
the verse could be a Bm, they both sound like they fit, so they're might be two
guitars. Not sure.

[Intro]

G D A D (x2)

[Verse 1]

G D
Got caught running up a tab
A D
Couldn't drive home so I had to share a cab
G D
Introduced herself by her last name
    A D
The kind of girl you steal from the football team
G D
Brought up a silver spoon mess
A D
Always trying to tear off her Catholic dress
G D
Told me she's over this place
A D
Needs to feel the mid west wind in her face
        Bm G
But the alcohol made its way down
            Em G
She was the last thing that I saw last night before I hit the ground

[Chorus]

(Pause) G D
Oh god I did the wrong thing to the right girl
   A Bm
My mind was only in it for a minute
      G D
Had a bad fling with a good girl
      A Bm
I was stupid and dumb not giving a
    G D
The blank stare out the window
           A Bm
If I could just sober up I could just admit
          G D
I did the wrong thing to the right girl
            A G D
It was your world, baby and I just lived in it
       A Bm
It was your world, baby and I just lived in it

[Verse 2]

G D
I've never been the best with my mouth
A D
Try to stay smart but the dumb comes out
G D
Maybe I'm shy, I drive an old car
A D
Maybe I'm amazed that I got this far
      Bm G
And I got my stand-bys waiting on the line
        Em G
But the hardest part is knowing that it won't be her this time

[Chorus]

[Bridge]
G D
Please, please, baby come back
A D
Please, please, baby come back
G D
Please, please, baby come back
A D
Please, please, baby come back

[Verse 3]
         G
She came back
                   D
Thought she had it all planned out
        A D
Went to marry some guy she had talked about
  G D
A tear in her dress and a tear in her eye
    A D
And just like that her whole life flashed by
             Bm G
She said She won't remember what you said last night
            Em G
That if you ever need someone to pick up the pieces in your life

[Chorus]

(just keep playing G A D Bm)
Oh, it was your world
All yours
(Please, please baby come back [x4] )
Yeah it was your world baby and I just lived in it

I think the D in the verse should be a Bm. (: I play it that way and it sounds right.

I agree. The D sounds pretty good, but the Bm sounds more fluid.
