LUCIFORMS - The Mars Volta
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tabbed by: Steve Dubuque
Email: sdubuque_vp@hotmail.com

Tuning: Standard, but at 448Hz (as oppose to the normal 440Hz)
E A D G B E

Use a calibrated tuner to set calibration at 448Hz; if
you want to get the EXACT pitch of the song, that is.
Regular tuning will work fine for most people, but the
sensitive ear will notice it sounds slightly off.

(2:13) Seems like I've been running...

e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--------8-------8-----------13--------13-----------------------------------|
G|--10b11---10b11------15-16-----15-16---------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

^^^ Do that riff 15x, then

(2:44)

e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|--15--13--12--10--12~~-----------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

(4:10) Use heavy wah

Play like this, with single notes...
e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--3-w-w-----------------6-w---8-6-5----------------------------------------|
E|---------2-w-w---5-w-w-----------------------------------------------------|

Or like this, with chords...
e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--5-w-w--4-w-w--7-w-w--8-w-------------------------------------------------|
A|--3-w-w--3-w-w--6-w-w--6-w---8-6-5-----------------------------------------|
E|---------2-w-w--5-w-w------------------------------------------------------|

(5:18) Solo starts with this...

e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------8--11p8h11p8h11p8h11----------------------------------------------|
G|--10b12--------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

You're on your own for the rest. lol

| w use wah pedal

MISTAKE: THIS SONG IS IN REGULAR, PLAIN OLD STANDARD TUNING (440 Hz). Disregard the paragraph at the beginning. When I transcribed this song, I was listening to the song through Youtube, and apparently it changed the pitch of the song slightly, because playing along to this song on a cd afterwords, the song is clearly in standard tuning.
