Hello.
This is (I hope) the bassline of 'Barbarism Begins at Home' by the Smiths.
Since I haven't got a guitar within reach I took the tab out of my head.

(* 1 *)
G-|--------------------------|-----------------------|
D-|-----4--4-----------6--7--|-----4--4--------------|
A-|-----------2--4-----------|-----------2--3--4--3--|
E-|--2--------------2--------|--2--------------------|

(* 2 *)
G-|-----------------------|-----------------------|
D-|-----------------6--7--|-----------------7--6--|
A-|--2--2--2--------------|--5--5--5--6--7--------|
E-|-----------4--5--------|-----------------------|

You repeat 1,2,1,2,1,2,... until end ...1,2,1,3

(* 3 *)
G-|--------------------------------|-----------------------|-----|
D-|--------------4--6--7--6--4-----|-----------------7--6--|-----|
A-|--2--2--2--6-----------------2--|--5--5--5--6--7--------|-----|
E-|--------------------------------|-----------------------|--2--|

I hope I got it right. Sorry if I didn't.

Nice! But what does Andy do to get the awesome tone?

He uses a pick, because he was originally a guitarist.

That's also why alot of his lines are alot more melodic than most others you hear by average bassists.

Nice tab too.
