Song is The Gardener from the Tallest Man on Earth

standard tuning, capo 6

I'm not sure of the very first dissonant chord in the very beginning but here's the rest.

DM DM/C# Bm GM AM AM6? AM6addm9?
2 2 2 3 0 2 3
3 3 3 3 2 2 2
2 2 4 0 2 2 2
0 x 4 0 2 2 2
x 4 2 2 0 0 0
x x x 3 x x x

Intro: DM

DM DM/C# Bm
I sense a runner in the garden
GM AM6addm9 AM6
Although my judgment's known to fail
DM DM/C# Bm
Once built a steamboat in a meadow
GM AM6addm9 AM6
Cause I'd forgotten how to sail

GM AM DM
I know the runner's going to tell you
GM AM DM
There ain't no cowboy in my hair
GM AM DM
So now he's buried by the daisies
GM AM DM
So I could stay the tallest man in your eyes, babe

I sense a spy up in the chimney
From all the evidence I've burned
I guess he'll read it in the smoke now
And soon to ashes I'll return

I know the spy is going to tell you
It's not my flag up in the pole
So now he's buried by the lilies
So I could stay forever more in your eyes, babe

I sense a leak inside my phone now
From all the lies I have told
I know he has your private number
And soon he'll make that vicious call

I know the leak is going to tell you
There ain't now puppy in your leash
So now he'll fertilize the roses
So I could stay the king you see
In your eyes, babe (x2)

So now we're dancing through the garden
And what a garden I have made
And now that death will grow my jasmine
I find it soothing I'm afraid

Now there is no need for suspicion
There ain't no frog kissing your hand
I won't be lying when I tell you
That I'm a gardner I'm a man
In your eyes babe (x3)

for the first 2 measures i'm using a full G alternating with G/F#. i don't think it's right but it sounds ok.

where you have the D - D/C# bit i'm using D/F# with D. Way easier!

not sure if this is actually right, but i tuned to drop d and then:
for the intro finger second fret on A and G alternating with that low D
for the Bm leave off the bass note and pull off your pinkie from the 4th to the 2nd fret
for the GM just finger the low D
for the DM in the chorus throw in 4th fret on the high D.

none of that probably makes any sense because i'm borderline illiterate when reading music.

I think the first chord is E7sus4 (0 2 0 2 3 x) just strummed. It sounds pretty legit.
