     F Bb
The sun is hot....

(The sun is so hot that everything on it is a gas. Aluminum, copper, iron,
and many others)
     F Bb
The sun is large...

(If the sun were hollow a million earths would fit inside. and yet it
is only a middle sized star)
     F Bb C
The sun is far away...

(About ninty-three million miles away. And that's why it looks so small )

     F Bb C F Bb F
But even when it's out of site the sun shines night and day.
     F Bb F Bb F C
We need it's heat. We need it's light. the sunlight that we see
      F Bb C F Bb F
The sunlight comes from our own suns atomic energy

( Scientist have found that the sun is a huge atom smashing machine. The
heat and light of the sun are caused by nuclear reactions between hydrogen,
nitrogen, carbon, and helium.)

Chorus:
     F Bb F C

Hey WeezerGeek182, thanks for posting this tab. I love this song. Unfortuantely, the lyrics are off beginning with the first verse, which goes...

Yo ho, it's hot. The sun is not a place where we could live.
But here on Earth there'd be no life without the light it gives.
We need it's light, we need it's heat, we need it's energy
Without the sun, without a doubt, there'd be no you and me.

then the chorus is good, but the bridge goes...

The sun is hot ...
(The sun is so hot... that everything on it is a gas. Copper, Iron, Aluminum on the surface of the sun are all gas.)
The sun is large ...
(The sun is so large a million Earths could fit insides, and yet the sun's just a middle-sized star.)
The sun is far away ...
(It's about ninety-three million miles away, And that's why it looks so small!)
But even when it's out of site it shines both night and day.

The sun gives light, the sun gives heat, the sunlight that we see.
The sunlight comes from our own sun's atomic energy.
(Scientists have found that the sun is an huge atom crushing machine. The heat and light of the sun are caused by nuclear reactions between hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, and helium.)

and from there out your good, except hydrogen isn't spelled hydrogene :)

This is the version from severe tire damage. This is not the version on The "Why Does the Sun Shine?" Single or "A Users Guide" CD. The lyrics are a little different.
