To make this easier, you can just leave the guitar in standard tuning and play the power chords. For example when it tells you to play strings DAD all on the 7th fret, you can just leave the tuning at EAD and play the 5th fret on the E string and the 7th on the A and D strings... Same goes for all the other chords. Just go two frets up on the first string of the chord. It sounds exactly the same the other way, but this will just save you time by not having to tune your guitar differently.

I'm pretty sure that the beginning is:

7 7 9 9 9 9 9 12
7 7 9 9 9 9 9 12
7 7 9 9 9 9 9 12
