TOM JONES - "Delilah" (The Ed Sullivan Show)
Capo 3rd fret

Em B7
I saw the light on the night that I passed by her window
Em B7
I saw the flickering shadows of love on her blind
E E7 Am
She was my woman
Em B7 Em D7
As she betrayed me I watched, and went out of my mind

G D7
My, my, my, Delilah
D7 G
Why, why, why, Delilah
G G7 C Am
I could see that girl was no good for me
G D7 G B7
But I was lost like a slave that no one could free

At break of day when that man drove away I was waiting
I crossed the street to her house and she opened the door
She stood there laughing
I felt the knife in my hand, and she laughed no more

"repeat the chords of the first two lines of the verse"

E E7 Am
She stood there laughing
Em B7 Em D7
I felt the knife in my hand, and she laughed no more

G D7
My, my, my, Delilah
D7 G
Why, why, why, Delilah

G G7 C Am
So before they came to break down the door
G D7 G G7
Forgive me, Delilah, I just couldn't take any more
Em B7 Em B7 Em
Forgive me, Delilah, I just couldn't take any more

These words are out of line. It's just doesn't seem right. The lyrics are not how I remember them. Minus 5 stars.

Not sure how you are playing this, but it sounds totally wrong to me. And you haven't finished putting the chords over the lyrics so the tab is incomplete. Sorry, but this does not sound at all good to me.

Bang on, except for the last G7 on the next to last line should be B7 and the very last B7 in the outro which I think should be A. I think JoeBeGoode above must be deaf. 😎
