The chord progression is correct, but Tony does some kind of reverse cross-picking technique that I haven't figured out. However, the lyrics in the second verse are incorrect. "I found myself a picker friend, and I read yesterday's news. I folded up page 21, and i stuck it in my shoes. I gave me a nickel to the poor, my good turn for the day. I folded up my old billfold, and threw it far away."

Requesting Correction to this Song as there are a few serious errors in the lyrics. Chords are correct.

Actually Tony Rice got the lyrics wrong for the second verse. Norman Blake lyrics are "Beggar's friend" not "pickers friend". A BF is an old newspaper used to stay warm or to cover a hole in your shoe in this case... read the verse again and it will make sense
