I wanted an accurate chord version transcription of Stinkfist I could play on an acoustic guitar and all the
existing versions are riddled with many mistakes; therefore, I tried my hand at it myself.
You can play this either in standard tuning (as I usually do) or you can use drop D to have lower
register reach in the guitar tone.
Notes:
- For extra accuracy, at the end of lines 1 and 2 of the chorus you can transition into the next line
by playing the single open E string and hammering-on the 1st fret (F) before playing the next E chord.
You can do the same at the end of lines 1, 2 and 3 of the Coda.
- You can end the song with a Dsus2, for a more suspended feeling, or resolve with a final Em.
- The [Instrumental 2] section is simplified with respect to the original, but it works for a single guitar
acoustic rendition, playing with the dynamics and slowly building up to the Bridge
