[Intro]

Em7 - Cadd9 - G - D/F#

[Verse 1]

    Em7
I’ll tell you a story
     Cadd9
Bout a girl I once knew
 G
Who grew up in Jersey
   D/F#
But to Cali she flew

         Em7
We lost touch for a moment
   Cadd9
Or maybe a year
            G
But always carried her memory
      D/F#
Right between both my ears

         Em7
She was bright, funny
     Cadd9
Always wanted the best
    G
Put a smile in my history
      D/F#
And I said for she left...

              Am C D*
There will be time to catch up with you
Am Em* C
maybe over coffee, or a quick bite to eat, when you’re 22

~[Chorus]~

N.C.
So I’ll
G
Take a little moment to say I really really miss you and
Cadd9
I’ll be really honest you were never one I thought we’d lose
So I’ll
G
I’ll take another moment to say I really really miss you and
Cadd9
Now we really can’t undo the time we could of should of used
        Am Em* C D*
so I’ll tell mom and dad I love them
       Am Em*
Cause forever’s not far
              C G
If tomorrow’s not coming

[Verse 2]

      Em7
You would ask for advice
     Cadd9
On who you should date
       G D/F#
I said ricky might be immature for his age

      Em7 Cadd9
I remember how hard it was for you to grow up
      G D/F#
Everyone had opinions on how you should look

           Em7
They said cut off your bangs
      Cadd9
And wear shorter skirts
       G
But through the seasons of change
           D/F#
You never forgot what you're worth

[Bridge]

   Am Em*
A heart of a woman
     C D*
And faith like a child
       Am Em*
I bet heaven is loving you
      C D*
I bet you make Jesus smile.

~[Chorus]~

N.C.
So I’ll
G
Take a little moment to say I really really miss you and
Cadd9
I’ll be really honest you were never one I thought we’d lose
So I’ll
G
I’ll take another moment to say I really really miss you and
Cadd9
Now we really can’t undo the time we could of should of used
        Am Em* C D*
so I’ll tell mom and dad I love them
       Am Em*
Cause forever’s not far
              C G
If tomorrow’s not coming

  Am Em* C
Christina, your life was worth living

N.C.
So I’ll
G
Take a little moment to say I really really miss you and
Cadd9
I’ll be really honest you were never one I thought we’d lose
So I’ll
G
I’ll take another moment to say I really really miss you and
Cadd9
Now we really can’t undo the time we could of should of used
        Am Em* C D*
so I’ll tell mom and dad I love them
Am Em* C
Cause life is worth living
Am Em* C
Yeah life is worth living

I think it is a variation of this pattern: 6-4-3-2 (let ring) 3-4-3 (fast) 4-3-4-2 3-(4-3) (where 6 is the bass note, so it might be 5th string depending on the chord)
