Song: Concrete and clay
Artist: Unit 4 +2
Composers: Brian Parker & Tommy Moeller
Tabbed by: DJ
27th Jan 2013

N.B. Here are 2 alternative tabs, the first version involves
de-tuning, as the band did. Below that tab is another
alternative, in standard tuning, but using a capo.

To play along with the original recording:
TUNING: Eb-Ab-Db-Gb-Bb-Eb
(i.e. Tune a semi-tone down from concert pitch)
This is how the band played it, which can be seen clearly
in their promo video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ougF5Q78tyo
From [1:09] you can see the Bm-G-A progression, and during
the break the A7 to D7 shapes.

Using a chromatic guitar tuner tune down to:
D#-G#-C#-F#-A#-D#
After you've detuned all the strings the chords will
then sound as if in the key of Ab.

Chords are named as if still in standard tuning:
A7 = x02020   F#m = 244222   Bm = x24432
D7 = xx0212   Em  = 022000   A  = 577655
G  = 355433   D   = xx0232   F# = 244322

[Verse 1]
A7                          D7
You to me ...are sweet as roses in the morning,
    A7                         D7             G
And you to me ...are soft as summer rain at dawn,
                             F#m
In love we share ...that something rare!

[Chorus]
       Em
The sidewalks in the street,
       A7
The concrete and the clay...
               D               Bm
...Beneath my feet begins to crumble,
      G              A
But love will never die,
               D                  Bm
Because we'll see the mountains tumble,
      G                  A
Be - fore we say good - bye,
            G                 F#            A7
My love and I will be ...in love eternal - ly,
      A7                            D7
And that's the way, mmm, that's the way it's meant to be!

[Verse 2]
A7                         D7
All around ...I see the purple shades of evening,
    A7                            D7
And on the ground ...the shadows fall,
              G                           F#m
And once a - gain you're in my arms, so tenderly!

[Chorus]

       A7
The concrete and the clay...
               D               Bm

My love and I will be ...in love eternal - ly,
