[Verse 1]
Em Am7 B7
Travelling north, travelling north to find you
Em C B7
Train wheels beating, the wind in my eyes
Em C B7
Don't even know what I'll say when I find you
Em Em/D C Am Em
Call out your name love, don't be surprised
     Am Em Am Em
It's so many miles and so long since I've met you
Am Em Am Em
Don't even know what I'll find when I get to you
     C D
But suddenly now I know where I belong

[Chorus]
      G D C Am Em
It's many hundred miles and it won't be long
    Am Em
It won't be long
    Am Em
It won't be long
    Am B Em
It won't be long

[Verse 2]
Em Am7 B7
Nothing at all in my head to say to you
Em C B7
Only the beat of the train I'm on
Em C B7
Nothing I've learnt all my life on the way to you
Em Em/D C Am Em
Only our love that's over and gone
     Am Em Am Em
It's so many miles and so long since I've met you
Am Em Am Em
Don't even know what I'll find when I get to you
     C D
But suddenly now I know where I belong

[Chorus]
      G D C Am Em
It's many hundred miles and it won't be long
   Am Em
It won't be long
   Am Em
It won't be long
   Am Em
It won't be long

B7 might fit better than the B. And if you hammer on the fifth string, second fret on and off, on the Em between chorus and verse, it gives the same feeling as the song.

I think it's: Am F E Am "Call out your name love, don't be surprised." Other than that, this is a 5-star tab. Thank you so much for posting it.

I use a B7 instead of the B you have there, and it fits more simply with the open position where the song is played, though I am not sure it is the same as the original. I hit a base string with my thumb and strumb down with my forefinger or middle finger to get the kind of rhythm I believe I hear in the song. I really appreciate this tab. This song has haunted me since I have watched Patriot, of which it is the theme song. That was last fall, about four months ago. Why does this song capture me so powerfully with its delicate melancholy and simple arrangment? It is a perfect song. I would like to know how others are affected by the song. Joseph
