B7 might fit better than the B.
And if you hammer on the fifth string, second fret on and off, on the Em between chorus and verse, it gives the same feeling as the song.

I use a B7 instead of the B you have there, and it fits more simply with the open position where the song is played, though I am not sure it is the same as the original. I hit a base string with my thumb and strumb down with my forefinger or middle finger to get the kind of rhythm I believe I hear in the song.
I really appreciate this tab. This song has haunted me since I have watched Patriot, of which it is the theme song. That was last fall, about four months ago. Why does this song capture me so powerfully with its delicate melancholy and simple arrangment? It is a perfect song. I would like to know how others are affected by the song. Joseph
