Weezer - Hashpipe

This is one of my first tabs, so correct it as you see fit. Thanks.

Standard tuning, four string bass.

G|-------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3------------------|
E|-------------------------------------------------------------------|

Continue this through most of the song
Then at first "whoa, come on and kick me..." play

G|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--555-5-55-55-5555----------------0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3---------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

I spaced the number to try to show timing. Listen to the cd to get it down.
At second "whoa come on and kick me..." play

G|--------------------------|
D|--------------------------|
A|--555-5-55-55-5555--------|
E|--------------------------|

Then immidiately slide to this

G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--888-8-88-88-8888--777-7-77-77-7777--555-5-55-55-5555--333-3-33-33-3333--2-2-22-2-22-222--|
E|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

Then go back to the beginning pattern.

G|-------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3------------------|
E|-------------------------------------------------------------------|

When the chorus (whoa, come on...) comes back again, play this again

G|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--555-5-55-55-5555----------------0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3---------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

G|------------------------|
D|------------------------|
A|--555-5-55-55-5555------|
E|------------------------|

G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--888-8-88-88-8888--777-7-77-77-7777--555-5-55-55-5555--333-3-33-33-3333--2-2-22-2-22-222--|
E|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

But, this time add this immediately after the 2's

G|------------------------------------|
D|------------------------------------|
A|--55-55-55-55-55-55-55-55-55--------|
E|------------------------------------|

Then go back to this, the guitar will do some different stuff, but just ignore and play this pattern

G|-------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3------------------|
E|-------------------------------------------------------------------|

Then at the chorus play this again

G|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--555-5-55-55-5555----------------0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3---------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

G|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--555-5-55-55-5555--------------------------------------------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------------------------|

G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--888-8-88-88-8888--777-7-77-77-7777--555-5-55-55-5555--333-3-33-33-3333--2-2-22-2-22-222--|
E|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

G|----------------------------------|
D|----------------------------------|
A|--55-55-55-55-55-55-55-55-55------|
E|----------------------------------|

And then finish the song with the regular pattern

G|-------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3-0-0-2-3------------------|
E|-------------------------------------------------------------------|

And that's it. Like I said before, listen to the cd to get your tempo down. Good luck.

I found it to be pretty accurate, great tab.

This tab isn't bad for the basics but it's missing the octave slides. As is most other tbas for this song. Check out Weezer's live videos on YouTube to get glimpses on how the bass is played. Listening to the studio version with good speakers should give you hints on the slides too.
