D]-7-----7----
A]-9-x16-7-x16
E]-9-----9----
and then the riff is like
D]-9/11-9\7--
A]----------9
E]-----------
I dont know if thats how they actually play it but it sounds pretty good to me

Makes sense. You're right. I was thinking about the riff alone. To play the song you couldn't possible play it and then use the Em and have it sound right.
Thanks again for the chords. It's a great song from a great band.
