Love this! For the verse I use D (A shape at 5th fret) Gm (Dm shape at 5th fret) 2x then D (A shape) then Gm (Em shape at 3rd fret) then D (voiced in the C shape 2nd fret) Gm (Em shape at 3rd fret) finally ending on open D chords (with maj7 at transition).
This gives a walking down feeling, following the melody more closely then staying up around 5th fret. I'm just learning so I'm sure there are more clever voicings out there.
