The riff in the middle interlude, I figured out from piano to guitar, is almost like a canon or round or something; I'll try to transcribe it, but it's somewhat difficult to just...end it, it just keeps going...I put in bar lines to help figure out the rhythms, so one of these "-" corresponds to one sixteenth note (the song is in 4/4). I usually fingerpick it, though I suppose it's possible to play it with a pick. Anyway, here y'are (this transcription is exactly an octave below what's sounded on the recording, as I don't have a cutaway so it's bloody tough to play in that octave, though I guess if you can play it all the way up there, do it. Might as well just be playing the piano though or something):


And as I said, the riff doesn't truly "end" as it were, it keeps going for 22 bars (I think, I'm drunk ok), and the song keeps building, and Dan's guitar part basically riffs off of that (the guitar riff given up top is pretty much correct, just throw on a shitload of reverb and tremolo and you're good to go son).
