I found it much easier doing it like this, I sorta did it naturally and its the same thing as yours, but this way your more into the rhythm of the hammer ons for the first part, and its also less confusing on your brain doing it this way. wait wait I think I know why both open D and open a work :) it's probs an open D power chord haha. *stupid me*

I'm not an expert by any means but am I think the riff actually plays an open a at the end instead of D, it just sounds right to me, I could be wrong doe haha. Good tab none the less!
