Instead of “she’s just smiling though his” the lyrics are “she says Malibu is really great”

When I drop the tubing down to d the g chord sounds weird anyone got tips?

To nail the lead licks I recommend tuning down a half step and playing it in E / C#m. If I get the energy I'll tab it out. Has some sweet classic country lines that are easy to learn.
