Well, actually it's Greg playing it. It's called a killswitch, not a sustain switch :p The trick is (you need to have a per-pickup volume button though, so you can switch 1 pickup off. Like on a Gibson style guitar)to put 1 pickup off, then the other all the way up. While you hammer the notes, you flip the switch. There you go, homemade killswitch. I know that Greg never plays a Gibson, but he has modded his Tele/Strat's to have volume buttons like on a Gibson

I think this is a little closer to the intro: E|----------------------------------- B|----------------------------------- G|----------------------------------- D|-------------5--------------------- A|---7---7---7---7---7---7-5-7------- E|-5---8---8-------5---8-------8-7--- ^ In fact that 8 is the only part I'm not positive about. Also, he plays the whole riff by popping the whammy bar rather than picking. the other part that comes in two times through that, I think goes like this: E|-xxxx-x--xx-x--xx-x--xx-x--xx-x--xx-x--xx---------| B|-xxxx-10-xx-10-xx-10-xx-10-xx-10-xx-10-xx-10-9-10-| G|-xxxx-x--xx-x--xx-x--xx-x--xx-x--xx-x--xx---------| D|--------------------------------------------------| A|--------------------------------------------------| E|--------------------------------------------------| or if you prefer a fuller sound: E|-xxxx-5-xx-5-xx-5-xx-5-xx-5-xx-5-xx-5-4-5-| B|-xxxx-5-xx-5-xx-5-xx-5-xx-5-xx-5-xx-5-4-5-| G|-xxxx-x-xx-x-xx-x-xx-x-xx-x-xx-x-xx-------| D|------------------------------------------| A|------------------------------------------| E|------------------------------------------| I'm pretty sure he plays the first one on the Waste of Mind Album version. However, I sort of like the second one better. Good job laying down the groundwork, man.
