Ok. So I'm new to doing this and I copy and pasted the other chord chart but I noticed
chords that were on the verses didn't fit. You can watch the lead singer play this song
acoustic version) on Taylor's website at (
). This is an awesome song for anyone and is
simple to play. The correct tuning is half a step down but it is not too difficult
to keep it standard tuning. Good luck.

Guitar II:
Verse I: (for all of the verses, he hammers on every chord. just listen to the song
you'll see what i mean)

Am Em C/B Cadd9
Somewhere there's speaking, it's already coming in.

Am Em C/B Cadd9
Oh, and it's rising in the back of your mind.

Am Em C/B Cadd9
You never could get it unless you were fed it,

Am Em C/B Cadd9
And now you're here and you don't know why.

Am Em C/B Cadd9
But under skinned knees and the skid marks,

Am Em C/B Cadd9
Past the places where you used to learn.

Am Em C/B Cadd9
You howl and listen, listen and wait for the

Am Em C/B Cadd9
Echoes of angels who won't return...

Chorus:

     Am G
He's everything you want

     Em Dsus4
He's everything you need

     Am G Em Dsus4
He's everything inside of you that you wish you could be

        Am G
He says all the right things

    Em Dsus4
At exactly the right time

    Am G Dsus4 C
But he means nothing to you and you don't know why...

Verse II:

       Am Em C/B Cadd9
You're waiting for someone to put you together

       Am Em C/B Cadd9
You're waiting for someone to push you away

        Am Em C/B Cadd9
There's always another wound to discover

        Am Em C/B Cadd9
There's always something more you wish he'd say

(Chorus)

Bridge:

Em C Em
But you'll just sit tight and watch it unwind

                   Dsus4 C
It's only what you asking for

Em C Em
And you'll be just fine with all of your time

                      Dsus4 C
It's only what you're waiting for

Verse III:

Am Em C/B Cadd9
Out of the island and into the highway

Am Em C/B Cadd9
Past the places where you might have turned

    Am Em C/B Cadd9
You never did notice, but you still hide away

Am Em C/B Cadd9
Anger of angels who won't return.

(chorus)

Then end the same way as the intro...

i don't know why, why, I don't know...
