You got a fast car
I got a plan to get us out of here:
I been working at the convenience store,
Managed to save just a little bit of money.
Wont't have to drive too far
Just 'cross the border and into the city,
You and i can both get jobs
                                         -C9-G6-Em-D-(2x)
And finally see what it means to be living.

-------I--0~--I--3~--I--2~------|I
---3~--I--3~--I--3~--I--3~------|I
---0~--I--0~--I--0~--I--2~------|I
---2~--I--0~--I--2~--I--0~------|I
---3~--I--2~--I--2~--I--x-------|I
---X---I--3~--I--0~--I--x-------|I
(2x)

(C9-G6-Em-D)four times...
You see my old man's got a problem:
He live with the bottle, thats the way it is.
He says his body's too old for working,
His body's too young to look like his.
My mama went off and left him, she wanted more from life than he could give,
I said, "Somebody's got to take care of him."
So I quit school and that's what I did.
                                                C9-G6-Em-D (3x)
(So I quit So I quit school and that's what I did.)
(You know this one)....

-------I--0~--I--3~--I--2~------|I
---3~--I--3~--I--3~--I--3~------|I
---0~--I--0~--I--0~--I--2~------|I
---2~--I--0~--I--2~--I--0~------|I
---3~--I--2~--I--2~--I--x-------|I
---X---I--3~--I--0~--I--x-------|I
(3x)

Chorus

---3---I--2~--I---~--I--0~------|I
---3~--I--3~--I--3~--I--3~------|I
---0~--I--2~--I--0~--I--0~------|I

Em-D-C9-G6
I remember when we were driving, driving in your car,

The speed so fast i felt like i was drunk,

Em-D-C9-G6
City lights lay out before us
And your arm felt nice wrapped 'round my shoulder.

    Em..D C9 G6
And I..... had a feeling that i belonged

    Em..D C9 G6
          D C9-G6
And I..... had a feeling i could be someone, be someone, be someone.
 Em-D C9 G6
Had a feeling I could be someone...be someone...
Em-D-C9-G6 (2x)
How could I really be someone
Some think I could be someone...
Someone!
adlib:
Em....

lead guitar:
...this guitar is standard in tune...they played like this sound...check it!

--------12-9---------12-9---------|I
---10-9---------10-9--------------|I
----------------------------------|I
----------------------------------|I
----------------------------------|I
----------------------------------|I

....the following is the song that I've told a while ago...their transition...enjoy!

I'm no wizard with musical theory so stop me if I'm wrong but if you tune down a half step, then put a capo on the second fret, aren't you effectively tuning up a half step..?? So if you start with standard tuning and put a capo on the first fret you get the same result..??
