Poor, Poor Pitiful Me Chords
Warren Zevon

F C G C
F G C

F        C           G        C
I lay my head on the railroad tracks,
F               G      C
waiting for the double E
    F    C          G      C
The rail-road don't run no more,
F          G       C
poor, poor pitiful me

F     C     G       C
Poor, poor, pitiful me,
F           G       C
poor, poor, pitiful me
F           C           G      C
These young girls won't let me be,
F         C        G
Lord have mercy on me;
       C
woe is me

        F     C            G    C
Well, I met a girl in West Hollywood,
    F       G      C
and I ain't naming names
        F      C         G    C
But she really worked me over good,
        F         G     C
she was just like Jesse James
    F      C         G    C
She really worked me over good,
          F      G      C
she was a credit to her gender
    F      C            G        C
She put me through some changes, Lord;
        F      G       C
sort of like a Warring Blender

F     C     G       C
Poor, poor, pitiful me,
F           G       C
poor, poor, pitiful me
F           C           G      C
These young girls won't let me be,
F         C        G
Lord have mercy on me;
       C
woe is me

F C G C  F G C
Solo

F     C     G       C
Poor, poor, pitiful me,
F           G       C
poor, poor, pitiful me
F           C           G      C
These young girls won't let me be,
F         C        G
Lord have mercy on me;
       C
woe is me

  F     C           G       C
I met a girl at the Rainbow Bar,
    F        G      C
she asked me if I'd beat her
    F       C           G     C
She took me back to the Hyatt House,

I don't want to talk about it

F           G       C
poor, poor, pitiful me  3x

Thank you for your effort. However it doesn't sound right to me. I went to the guitar version 2 submission, and it sounds great on the uke.

edit- I have to take that back. I just strummed through it again, and now I think it sounds very good. Not just like the version I'm familiar with, but good sounding nonetheless. Thanks again.
