The One by We Are Harlot
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: EK

Tuning: Standard (E A D G B e)

I noticed that there were no full tabs for this song, so I thought that I would do it justice. I actually
had a lot of fun making this tab.

Main Riff:

e|-------------------------|-----------------------|-------------------------|------------------------------|
B|-------------------------|-----------------------|-------------------------|------------------------------|
G|-------------------------|-----------------------|-------------------------|------------------------------|
D|-------------------------|-----------------------|-------------------------|------------------------------|
A|-------------------------|-----------------------|-------------------------|------------------------------|
E|--0---0--0-0--0--0--3--5-|--5---5--x-x-5br--3--0-|--0---0--0-0--0--0--3--5-|--5---5-/-12-10-10-10-10-12-\-|
           . . . .

This is repeated throughout the entire song. There are some variations that add more dead notes, open notes,
etc. but I feel that if I tab out EVERY variation, this tab would be extremely long and repetitious.

Verse:

During the verse, while Guitar 1 plays the main riff, there's another guitar playing a lead. For the first
half of the first verse, it does this twice:

e|----------------------------------|----------------------------------|
B|-x-x-8--8-8--x-----x-x-8--8-8---8-|-x-x-10---------------------------|
G|-x-x-7--7-7--x--7--x-x-7--7-7-----|-x-x--9---------------------------|
D|----------------------------------|----------------------------------|
A|----------------------------------|----------------------------------|
E|----------------------------------|----------------------------------|

----------------------------------|----------------------------------|
-x-x-8--8-8--x--8--x-x-8--8-8-x-x-|-x--10--10-10-10--7h8-8-8-7-8-8---|
-x-x-7--7-7--x--7--x-x-7--7-7-x-x-|-x---9---9--9--9--7---7-7-7-7-7---|
----------------------------------|----------------------------------|
----------------------------------|----------------------------------|
----------------------------------|----------------------------------|

For the rest of the first verse and all of the second verse, that same guitar plays this
repeatedly:

e|-----------------------------------|-------------------------------|
B|-x-x-8--8-8--x--8---x-x-8--8-8---8-|-x-x-10--10-10--7h8-8--7h8-7h8-|
G|-x-x-7--7-7--x--7---x-x-7--7-7---7-|-x-x--9---9--9--7---7--7---7---|
D|-----------------------------------|-------------------------------|
A|-----------------------------------|-------------------------------|
E|-----------------------------------|-------------------------------|

Of course, there are small variations throughout the song. Again, because the variations are not big, I
find it unnecessary to tab them.

Chorus:

Guitar 1: (chord progression)
e|--0--|--2--|-----|--2--|--0--|--2--|-----|-----|
B|--0--|--3--|--1--|--3--|--0--|--3--|--1--|--1--|
G|--0--|--2--|--0--|--2--|--0--|--2--|--0--|--0--|
D|--2--|--0--|--2--|--0--|--2--|--0--|--2--|--2--|
A|--2--|-----|--3--|-----|--2--|-----|--3--|--3--|
E|--0--|-----|-----|-----|--0--|-----|-----|-----|

Guitar 1 does only that the first chorus. However, it plays this for the next two choruses:

e|--0--|--2--|-----|--2--|--0--|--2--|-----|-----|--3--|-----|--0--|-----|--3--|-----|-----|--2--|
B|--0--|--3--|--1--|--3--|--0--|--3--|--1--|--1--|--3--|--3--|--0--|--1--|--3--|--3--|--1--|--3--|
G|--0--|--2--|--0--|--2--|--0--|--2--|--0--|--0--|--0--|--2--|--0--|--0--|--0--|--2--|--0--|--2--|
D|--2--|--0--|--2--|--0--|--2--|--0--|--2--|--2--|--x--|--0--|--2--|--2--|--x--|--0--|--2--|--0--|
A|--2--|-----|--3--|-----|--2--|-----|--3--|--3--|--2--|--x--|--2--|--3--|--2--|--x--|--3--|-----|
E|--0--|-----|-----|-----|--0--|-----|-----|-----|--3--|--2--|--0--|-----|--3--|--2--|-----|-----|

Guitar 2:
e|-----------------------------|
B|-8----------8----------8-----|
G|----11---------11---------11-|
D|--------12---------12--------|
A|-----------------------------|
E|-----------------------------|

Guitar 2 repeats this multiple times for every chorus.

Solo:

e|------/12--0-0------------------|-x-x-----3-x-x--------------|-x-x--------------------|
B|---------------12\--0-0---------|-x-x-3/5-3-x-x--------------|-x-x-3/-9br-8-----------|
G|------------------------4\--0-0-|-x-x-2/4---x-x-2br-0-2-0-2b-|-x-x-2/-9br-7--2br------|
D|--------------------------------|----------------------------|--------------------4\2-|
A|--------------------------------|----------------------------|------------------------|
E|--------------------------------|----------------------------|------------------------|
                                                        . .

------------12----------12-------------------------------------------|
-------15b-----15-12-15----15-12-------------------12-13-12----------|
-----x---------------------------14-12-15-12-14-15----------15-14-12-|
---x-----------------------------------------------------------------|

I will note that I'm not entirely sure if the last measure (the one with all the 15s) is correct. To me
it sounds like he is trying to hit pinch harmonics and is just moving up the strings with his picking hand.

I hope this tab helped you! If it did, then please rate and comment; I greatly appreciate all of that.

I'd like to address something, and there's no better place than in the comments section of my own tab.

A contributor voted to reject this tab and gave me this horrible piece of feedback:

"Your tab is incomplete. Your tab must follow the song from beginning to end, with each section placed where it is to be played, even if it's repeated elsewhere in the song.
This way readers know when to play what and they don't have to constantly stop and scroll in order to piece together an incomplete tab."

People look up tabs for to learn a song in the FASTEST and SIMPLEST manner. So, obviously, the simpler I keep my tab, the better. Therefore, copying and pasting the Chorus around three times is completely POINTLESS.

This contributor suggested that guitarists try to learn the ENTIRE song all at once, which (for most guitarists with a healthy mental state and a good work ethic) is completely false. You learn songs PIECE BY PIECE; I've presented all the pieces of the song in this tab. That means that the tab is 100% complete.

A message to all contributors: think before you post ridiculous comments on others' tabs. Luckily for me, a UG administrator who actually had some common sense voted to approve my tab.
