It is mean for the publishers to remove chords of songs. The fact that Weezer go along with this makes me lose a lot of respect for them. Capitalist monkeys.

Its not weezer's decision. Google "The Wayback Machine" and use that to lookup these removed tabs.

Legal note: chord progressions cannot be copyrighted. They can issue a DMCA takedown notice for lyrics, sure, but chords? Not a leg to stand on.
